Dear NUALS Community,

Seven years ago, NIMLAC set sail and left an indelible mark on the landscape of maritime and international arbitration advocacy. Today, with renewed vigour and grander sails, we announce its long-awaited return.

The 7th Edition of the M.K. Nambyar Memorial NIMLAC is not merely an event. It is an effort to bring NUALS to the forefront and to demonstrate that NUALS has the capacity to host a competition of world-class stature.

We are privileged to be working in collaboration with Phoenix Legal, Jus Mundi, the Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation, and the Maldives Arbitration Centre, with further institutional partnerships and firm collaborations currently being finalised.

The Call of the Sea

We now extend this Expression of Interest to all NUALS students who wish to be part of the core organizing team, alongside the Moot Court Society, to bring this edition to life.

This is your opportunity to serve as a co-captain of your committee and crew members. Each committee will be co-led by a NUALS student alongside MCS members, ensuring collaborative leadership at every level.

⚠ An Honest Word Before You Sail: Our timelines are compressed. From now through end of April, this event will demand your active, sustained commitment. We therefore encourage only those with manageable obligations during this period to apply. Quality of involvement matters more to us than quantity of names on a list.

The selection process will be rigorous and merit-based, conducted in consultation with the Faculty Coordinator, Dr. Sandeep M.N. Every application will be evaluated on prior experience, demonstrated commitment, and the quality of submitted tasks.
