NIMLAC
The NUALS International Maritime Law Arbitration Competition (NIMLAC) is an initiative spearheaded by the University to create an arena for student engagement with the challenging and enthralling field of Maritime Law. It is the flagship event of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies. The University, from the inception of the competition in 2014, has strived to provide to the participants, an academically enriching experience.
The first edition of the Maritime Moot had the distinction of being the first of its kind in India. Since then, it has been a benchmark for all Maritime Law Moots in the country. NIMLAC has been lauded for the intricate, nuanced and contemporaneous set of issues that have formed part of the moot proposition. It has, over the years, concentrated on the practical and fundamental aspects of Maritime Law. The Competition has previously seen participation from teams across the country and abroad. It also boasts of a roster of judges who are internationally renowned jurists, members of the higher judiciary, eminent practitioners and arbitrators.
